The name says it — Steg. A bridge. A narrow path between two points. Not the destination, not the origin — the connection itself.

The work comes from the conviction that space is not a given, it is a decision. Whether on a 300-metre cruise ship or in a converted Sprinter — the question is always the same: what is essential, and what can go?

Freelance lighting designer and product designer based in Braunschweig. A hybrid between interior design and technical engineering — combining design thinking with hands-on operational and shipyard experience.

Maritime career spanning Meyer Werft, FUNA/MHI, MV Werften, and Team Lead Lighting for the Disney Adventure at Meyer Wismar. Parallel development of custom luminaires under formlichtraum and mobile architecture under the steg20 umbrella.
